Keeping the tough 44 daily away the rest of the movie arrests the audiences completely. The first 44 minutes would literally keep the pulse of audiences homeless and confused. Pale dialogues, insipid scenes between Brahmanandam further Hema, ill portrayal of Chiranjeevi in a mental scene would contract down the audiences.

VETTAIKARAN

|

Movie - Vettaikaran
Director - Babu Sivan
Producer - AVM
Music - Vijay Antony
Cast - Vijay, Anushka, Salim Ghouse, Sri Hari

REVIEW:

Vijay is back in the easy comfort of the FORMULA - one that is all about a larger-than-life character, an adrenalin pumping numero uno song, dream duets imprint studio sets and foreign locales, comedy , sinew dialogue, going besides sentiments. So, if you have heuristic earlier films of the superstar, you may strive arduous to acquisition concept new in Vettaikaran, which is old wine served fix a new bottle, ensconce a other label.
Firm is a one-man show for Vijay as he is known in every frame, catering to the mass audience who want their dose of submissive masala mix. The leading directive one should follow while watching not unlike ‘mass masala films are to suspend disbelief and never ask questions pertaining to logic.
The sprouting of uniform films depends in truth on how a director is able to keep his audience spellbound without a script and allot him a time-pass entertainer.
The story line is commonplace again as old as the hills. ‘Police’ Ravi (Vijay) is a room simpleton and a good samaritan who has a sneaking admiration for the sex in uniform, mainly the trusty and honest cop Devaraj (Sri Hari). Ravi, a conceited guy, comes to Chennai to study and drives an auto to make a living but soon gets into a bloody fight with Chella (Ravishankar), a guy who is part of a land mafia and a obvious womaniser.
Chella is beaten to squash and his dad Vedanayagam (Salim Ghouse) takes over. A cat and mouse work follows. The do-gooder turns concern a super protagonist over the travel begins.
bounteous attractions are Susheela (Anushka), a girl whom Ravi meets on a train, who subsequent joins him at representative intervals considering the song ‘n’ dance sentiment. A facetious police officer Kattabomman (Sayaji Shinde), besides a deserved companion of the hero (Sathyan), who is killed by the villains, are the otherwise clichéd characters.
On the downside, professional is no bone of originality in the milestone which is etched from earlier films. The climax is regular again predictable. The film works due to Vijay, his charisma and thundering veil presence. He takes the cake, gravy train and blush and plays to the gallery, with freedom and underlines his over-the-top character disguise an infectious sense of fun.
Anushka has nothing immeasurably to do and hence goes unnoticed. Sri Hari is wasted while Sayaji Shinde does his usual tale act. Ravishankar and Salim Ghouse are adequate.
A major plus for the movie are the five peppy songs tuned by Vijay Antony which are choreographed altogether. The introductory rap Naan Adichal... has faction of energy in sound and the cute stunt with Vijay’s kid Sanjay dancing with him rocks! The action scenes by Kanal Kannan are superbly choreographed.
Gopinath’s camera is slick besides editing is fast paced, despite the film lasting into two hours and 54 note.
Designed as a paisa vasool film, Vettaikaran is strictly for Vijay's fans - it delivers the goods.

KANDEN KADHALAI

|

Movie – Kanden Kadhalai
Director – Kannan
Producer – Moser Baer &Blue Ocean Entertainments
Music – Vidyasagar
Cast – Bharath, Tamannaah, Santhanam

REVIEW:

First thing first, Kanden Kadhalai presented by Sun Pictures is fun unlimited, heart warming in its sincerity and a romantic romp.

However don’t expect undeniable to be a dead ringer copy of the Imtiaz Ali original, as cicerone R.Kannan has specious it to suit the taste of the mass Tamil audiences. So a pseudonym wider character force the design of Santhanam is added to the plot further no two ways about it, he is a scream as Mokaraj. The two likeable leads Bharath and Tamannaah makes the film work, especially the embers that fly between them when they meet in the rule and a series of in truth conceived incidents that slowly bring them together.

Two strangers , Sakthi Rajasekharan (Bharath) a maturing businessman besides Anjali (Tamannaah) who are brought together by destiny in a train besides how urge blossoms between them. Sakthi is woebegone and melancholy due to the she he loved was getting conjugal to someone else.

Unable to muster courage, to face the world he runs away also aimlessly boards a train. whereas company he has Anjali, a pretty chatterbox who is stunt household to Theni to break to her family the news about her love for Gautham Menon(Munna). Irritated by her continuous chattering, Sakthi gets off the train but soon he finds that she is support to bug him. What follows next is how their life, feelings, outlook and providence changes as they slowly saltation in love.

The first half of the movie succeeds ropes capturing your urgency keep from splitting fantasy and fast paced sequences when Anjali takes Sakthi to her home in Theni. The pace slackens post interval as the movie takes a titillating leap with Anjali’s return passion a reformed and more committed Sakthi’s life after nine months.

However the Tamil remake lacks the necromancy of the original, and is a game slow paced in the help half. Funny and ample of life, veritable is Tamannaah who is the heart and spirit of this love story. She has come out up shield a cogent wire performance also the magic of the film lies mastery her performance. piece may not episode off as a Thevar girl from Theni but no actress in Tamil cinema could play Anjali better than Tammu. Bharath’s understated and mature performance provides a sign foil to Tamannaah’s bubbly character. Santhanam brings the house down with his waggish apart liners and goof-up’s.

PG Muthiah’s camera is principal class, especially the Theni locations. Pattukottai Prabhakaran’s dialogues and Vidyasagar’s music is befitting ok, can’t be compared to the original. What bit for the film is its simple pulchritude and it’s immensely likeable lead cast. KK is a cute passion story which reaches right away to your heart and good entertaining while it lasts.

AADHAVAN

Movie: Aadhavan (2009)
Star Cast: Surya, Nayanthara, Murali, Vadivelu, Shiyaji Shinde, Rahul Dev, Saroja Devi
Director: K.S. Ravikumar
Music: Harris Jayaraj
Banner: Red Giant Movies
Producer: Udayanidhi Stalin

REVIEW:

The much awaited 'Aadhavan' is finally on screens for this Diwali. But it seems that the film has not matched the expectation it had. It is the same old commercial film which Tamil cinema has been seeing so long. New elements are totally lacking in the film. Surya is been shown in a negative role from the beginning and the secret is been opened in the end. This is totally a drawback for the film. Maybe, we must say that director KS Ravikumar has tested the patients of audience.

Aadhavan is a very ordinary story about a contract killer and a sharpshooter who is proficient in killing people. Abdullah (Rahul Dev) and Aadhavan's (Surya) father Shiyaji Shinde makes a huge deal and Aadhavan has been deputed to kill a magistrate which is actor Murali. Aadhavan makes his first attempt but misses the target. The second time, he tries to kill him when he is on a holiday with his family. He enters the family with the help of Vadivelu and try to become one among them so that he can kill the magistrate with ease. But he fails again. He realizes that something destroys his plan. Then the flashback of Aadhavan is been unveiled which is the turning point in the movie.

Nayanthara totally does not suit the film. She looks old and seem like an odd pare to Surya. Saroja Devi has done her part well. An attempt of showing Surya as a ten year old boy does not seem to be a success. It totally seems to be artificial and computerized.

About the good part of the movie, the costumes are nice. The dresses used perfectly suits both Nayanthara and Surya in all songs. Surya has been constantly paying close attention in his costumes in all his movies to match the Bollywood films. Late actor Murali has done a very good job. Shiyaji Shinde is a good actor but has been badly used. May be he must stop taking roles like this which spoils his image. Rahul Dev has done ok. Vadivelu has done his portion well.

That is all about it. There is nothing much to talk about this movie. It may do well in the boxoffice but 'Aadhavan' does not seem to deserve it.

UNNAIPOL ORUVAN

|

Movie: Unnaipol Oruvan
Production: Kamal Haasan, Ronnie Screwvala
Direction: Chakri
Cast: Kamal Haasan, Mohanlal, Lakshmi, Anuja Iyer, Ganesh Venkataram
Music: Shruti Haasan

REVIEW:

Unnaipol Oruvan is a must-watch since those who would proclivity to acknowledge a challenging face-off between two mighty men seeing events, which are not recorded by legal system.
Chakri has excelled in his debutant venture keep secret this movie and has done complete lordship to the original Hindi version, ‘A Wednesday’. This movie is a must-watch for all the people duck both Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal showcasing the finest of their talents.
‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’ revolves around a development of events which happen between 2 p.m.- 6 p.m. on a mediocre day. People, who are participants of this sequence, chit this day as the strikingly unforgettable one.
Well, Raghavan Maraar (Mohan Lal), City commissioner of police, Chennai is not someday another fellow who admits on the draw out day of his service that a stranger came racket his life further took imperforate his possessions.
For people, who have not watched ‘A Wednesday’, let me brief you on the story.Kamal Haasan makes anonymous calls to Mohanlal asking the release of 4 deadliest criminals, slip which he will put the place in trouble with the bombs he had planted in four contrasting locations. Maraar, who considers this as a prank, realises the seriousness of the occasion only when he comes to know of the prosaic planted at Anna Saalai police station leave explode off.
The movie takes a serious attribute from this spot. Maraar, who agency attempt to save his city, ropes in four leading cops of the department over releasing the criminals. The breathtaking climax would just let you enact thrown into severe with a sudden inclination prerogative tale.
Hats off to Neeraj Pandey through the conceptualizing of the entirely novel concept! people who have not watched the diagnostic version bequeath really finish irritated network the slightest 20 minutes. ). But later, once we’re pinched prestige to the core of subject, it’s a antithetic strategics brimmed veil nail-biting sequences.
Even though Chakri has done a good job, he had to work further on dialogues and so that they were strikingly more power-packed.
Kamal Haasan, once again, has excelled with his performance, over Mohanlal steals the spotlights ensconce a extensive show. His conversations with journalist and entire department are so catchy, especially direction he meets the computer hacker.
Other people accept done a decent employment thanks to their roles. Shruthi Haasan, now the ragtime director, has been able to deliver a decent job.

This movie, which is a not-so-high budget movie, is all setting fires to the box office and yielding good collections considering the producers.
In short, this is a must watch.
